Grandma Nita & Grandpa Paul's Pool

Thank You Bernie

Ryan's uncle, aunt and their grand-kids drove up from Pine Island so his uncle Bernie could hook up our air-conditioning. We really appreciated his help and we all had a great time catching up. It was fun to see the kids having fun together. Dylan was really shy at first and so were Julia and Emma so it was great to see them all reading books together by the end of the night. Dylan stayed up happily until almost 10pm, but of course he still woke up at 6:30am the next morning....

Thank You Grandma Riley

Dylan just got this terrific quilt in the mail from grandma Riley and he loves it!

1st Bloody Nose

Dylan got his first bloody nose and fat lip. He was playing outside with cousin Andy and tripped over the garden hose. His face took the brunt of the fall and the blood was flowing, it was all in his mouth so at first we weren't sure if he has any loose teeth. Luckily he just has a scraped nose and upper lip.

Sandbox Fun

Dylan's funny forced laugh, what a ham.

Rest in Peace Great-Grandpa Harry

Sadly, Grandpa Paul's dad passed away on Wednesday, May 27th. I wanted to post some pictures from one of Dylan's visits. He had fun with Great-Grandpa Harry and Harry loved watching Dylan, I remember him joking, "I'm getting tired just watching him". We will miss you Harry, but it gives us peace to know you are with Grandma Marion again.

Happy Memorial Day!

We had a wonderful Memorial Weekend. We went for a 10 mile family bike ride down along the river. Dylan rides in the burley behind Ryan's bike and isn't completely thrilled about his helmet, but he's getting used to it. We also went hiking in a bird sanctuary and quaker bog along Theodore Wirth Parkway. On Sunday we took a fun drive to Lake Harriet (this is where Ryan proposed) and walked around the lake and Rose Garden. Dylan loved the fountain and Ryan enjoyed taking a nice nap in the shade. Unfortunately we forgot our camera at home so we missed out on all of these great shots, but we had a fun bunch of adventures. Then Great Grandma Peterson stopped over for lunch on Sunday afternoon and we went to Stillwater on Memorial Day. Then we ended our fun weekend with dinner on the porch with the Chiabotti family. Dylan and Andy had a blast playing in the sandbox. In the picture below Andy is patiently asking Dylan to share one of the shovels with him and Dylan thinks it's hilarious that he has BOTH of the shovels.

Sprinkler Fun

Dylan enjoyed his first time in the sprinkler this summer, especially once his cousin Andy joined him. He refused to take his socks off and had just as much fun playing in the dirt. What a little boy.

T-Ball

We had fun watching Andy's T-Ball practice. We even got to have some Miles time. Dylan is really starting to warm up to his little cousin, he touches his head really gently and laughs at him, it's so sweet.
